Nostalgia Advent Calender's

Good Sunday afternoon to where ever you are in the world. It's drabby weather here in London!!!

Today I am going to share some advent calender's I made for my four grandchildren.

I found the tutorial on 'YouTube'. Just search 'A Nostalgia Advent Calendar Tutorial' by Kay F.
Her tutorial was so easy to follow. The boxes are cut by hand, no gluing!!
I liked the fact that the calendars can be folded and tied with a ribbon, or displayed as an open book, & if looked after can last an age.

If you have made some please add a picture in your comment. I would love to see them.

Right onto the pictures .....

Papers are from 'The Works'. I like the 12 x 12 pads.
Letters are what I purchased off of Create & Craft by Tattered Lace.

Ribbons are what I had in my stash, some are recycled.
I added some bells, also purchased from 'The Works'.
I used my bowadraba to secure all the ribbon together , but when I did my 1st one I forgot I had it. My Granddaughters one was my 1st attempt.

Side view of calendars closed & secured with ribbon.

View of the back.

What they look like inside.

Close up & what I have filled the boxes with.
I stuck with a selection of sweets, but of course you could add little gifts that a child may like. For a girl much easier because you could add lip balm, bracelet, ring, etc, because these are the type of things that may well fit into the box.

I do hope you have enjoyed looking and I look forward to your comments and your pictures too if you have dabbled in making an advent calendar.

Thanks for popping on by x

Remembrance Card

Today I am going to share a card I made for Poppy Day.
I decided to just make it flat instead of adding to a card you can open up. Message can be wrote on the back if desired. I then added it into a cellophane card bag to help  protect from all weathers if it was going to be put onto a grave or where ashes had been scattered.

Poppy is made from red card and one of the many poppy dies that I have.
Soldier and plinth I bought at one of the Ally Pally shows I attended.
Sentiment I printed from internet.
I used distress ink around sentiment and gilding wax on the soldier.
Poppy leaves were coloured in with promarkers.

I have contacted the Royal British Legion via email asking if I am able to make a good batch of these to sell in a way of helping raise money for our soldiers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
I look forward to reading your comments and will pop on over and visit your blog too.

Chocolate Gift Box/Envelope

Good afternoon.
Today I am going to share a chocolate bar gift box/envelope with you.
I got my inspiration off of Facebook :- Fantastic Foamiran (Anna Maria Balajzy)and followed a youtube channel for instructions, Envelope making tutorial/DIY designer gift envelope (Ankita's Craft Corner), this was so easy to follow. I am a visual learner rather than being given measurements & then working out what to do.

Actually ..... this can be used for a small diary, notepad & pen, etc.

I thought that these would be ideal for my Grandchildren's school teachers. My daughter spends so much money on gifts and with me being a Nursery School Practitioner, I know I would be over the moon in receiving a gift like this.

The good thing is that you only need an A4 size piece of card to start off with.

Hope you like it and give you some inspiration in making some too. If you have already made something like this, please share your photos, I would love to see them.

Leaving Card

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

I am sharing a card I made for our head at our nursery school. He decided to retire from his position and move to wales owning and running a guest house.

This is well out of my comfort zone.

He likes to ride a bike, mountain climb, play his guitar & sing with the children, run dad's go wild on a Saturday(which is Forest School), we go over to the university grounds,  etc. So when I was asked to create a leaving card for everyone to sign, I thought 'oh boy'.

Well this is it ........

I had to make sure there was plenty of writing space for all the nursery staff to write their message.

Again, thanks for taking time to look & look forward to your comments.

New Home

Hello there and thanks for popping by my blog today.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend who I met at the bus stop on my way to work.
Something had happened and we along with others were waiting an age for a bus to come along.
We just started talking and became good friends.

Me and my husband renewed our wedding vows last year (30 yrs). We went to the same church where we got married, but had a different vicar.

Denise, who I met at bus stop, worked at the university and had access to an industrial cutting machine. She made cut out heart shapes for the table, heart shaped wooden decoration with our names in it & also I asked her to design my cake topper.

Now onto the card I made

I made the flowers.
Typed the saying myself.
The tag states what day they moved in.
Key I have had in my stash for yonks.

Inside of card

I think decorating the inside adds to the card. I never used to!!

Hope you like what you see & thanks again for stopping by.

Cheers ... to good friends..

Today I am sharing a card I made for a very good friend.
We both love a prosecco.

She loved the card, and I really enjoyed making it too.

I just printed off glass shape, cut out and used as a template. Added all the bling. My handmade foam flowers. Sentiment was from a Whimsy blog win I won ages ago along with loads more. It was perfect for this card.

Easel Wedding Card

Here is a Easel wedding card that I made a while ago but never posted.
I made the vintage flower following a YouTube tutorial (cannot remember who...sorry)
Tonic dies that I just distressed here and there.
Embossed the pearlised card which the flower sits on.
Glitter paper in the background and then your normal pearls/rhinestones & leaves & ribbon to finish off.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.
I look forward to your comments and I will pop on over to visit you too x

Christmas wedding favour

Today I am sharing a photo of a Christmas cracker that is actually a wedding favor.
Inside will be an organza bag containing some chocolates.

I made 100 of them!!!  It sent me crackers, lol.

My Cousin gets married in December and I thought this would be a nice unique wedding gift for her and her bride to be, because they already live together. (I obviously asked her first).

The card was from lime tree crafts that I embossed with an A4 embossing folder, Victorian swirls.
Ribbon I purchased from Ebay.
Poinsettia die (I can't remember who by)
Leaves are a Tattered Lace die.
Diamante from pound shop.
Glitter glass from Anna Marie designs.
Organza bags purchased from Wish.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog, please leave a comment and I will pop on over and visit you too x

50th Birthday Card

Today I am sharing a card that a friend requested.
She just wanted her friends name and age on the card and then left colour combo etc down to me.
It's surprising how blooming hard this is!!!! It seemed to take an age because I kept adding things, then taking it away, as I am sure you have all done.

I do hope you take time to leave a comment so as I can visit you too.
Many Thanks
