1st ever crochet toy

Good Afternoon everyone & thanks for stopping by my blog today x

It's been awful weather here over the past few weeks, which is of course expected at this time of the year.
Good weather to watch films.

It's my half term week, so been catching up with house hold chores, retail therapy and of course Nan duties.

Today I am going to share a crochet rabbit with you. This was a challenge that I set for myself during lock down. My Great Aunt Bluey taught me to crochet blankets as a kid, but I could never read a pattern and never knew the crochet stitches. So with an easy pattern and a step by step video tutorial this is what I finished with. I did have to do and undo several times but persevered with it.
My Granddaughter half inched it!

I added the ribbon and a gem

The flower should have been on the opposite side, but I did not like the way I'd sown on the ear.
Added gem in middle too.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to reading your comments.
I shall pop on over and visit you too x

Christmas Card

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I hope you like what you see.
I do hope you are all keeping yourself safe and well where ever you are in the world x

Today I am sharing a Christmas card that I made.

I do believe the dies are by Tonic, and the flower die in the middle  I am not quite sure.
I have so many different flower and leaf dies that are no longer in their packaging!
Gems are from pound shop and moss in middle is by Anna Maria Designs.
I have also used some glitter on the snowflake border.
Card is most probably from Lime Tree Crafts. (I purchase so much!)
Merry Christmas die, again not sure.

I look forward to your comments and I shall be over to visit you too x

Christmas Cracker

Welcome to my blog and thanks for stopping by x

Today I am sharing a Christmas Cracker that I had a play around with.
I used JND proper cracker die. I love this die, cuts so easy and is easy to assemble.

I used card that I purchased ages ago from Ally Pally (Lime tree crafts)
Embossing folder is A4 size
Gems are from pound shop.
Flower is what I purchased from another crafter (before I had confidence to make my own)
Small roses and crystal stamens had in stash, but would have purchased online or craft fair.
Ribbon I do believe is recycled from a birthday cake.

Thanks again for looking. I will pop on over and visit you too if you leave a comment.
Take care and stay safe xx

Same sex wedding card

Good evening everyone and thank you for stopping by , it's much appreciated x

Today I am sharing a commissioned card for same sex (male) wedding card. The happy pair were supposed to tie the knot in Lanzarote in July  but due to covid it had to be cancelled. But they had a ceremony back here in London and my work colleague said it was just amazing.

She told me the colour theme and roughly what she wanted and then left the rest to me...... and this is what I came up with.

The card itself I purchased at a craft fair.
Papers were downloaded from Etsy.
Embossing folder not sure who by.
gems I had in my stash, purchased from pound shop, craft fair and online.
Ribbon recycled.
Other papers/card had in my stash, again purchased from craft fair, mainly Limetree Crafts.
Letters are Tattered Lace dies.

I made a box for the card.

Good Friends Wedding Card

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by today.
Thank-you for all your lovely comments and becoming a follower of mine x

Well, I am now back to work and am adjusting myself to early wake up and settling all the new children into nursery. I must say that it has been nice during our summer break to have all housework, ironing, etc all done and have plenty of time for crafting and spending, lol.
Now I craft and blog when I have time and when i'm not too tired!!

Anyway, today I am sharing a wedding card with you that I made for a lovely couple who are also very good friends.
They got married last year in Cyprus and had a party back in London for those that could not attend.

This was their colour theme. The flowers were their button holes. The butterflies and wooden 'love' was scattered over their tables.

Just a close up

Another close up

Last close up. The hat pin was also used to attach flowers on guests.

This is what I read out for them and decided to add inside of card so as it's all a keep sake.

Wedding Box Card

Good Sunday afternoon everyone, hope you are all well and safe x

Today I am sharing a wedding box card I made in the past but have not posted. I have quite a few cards and projects to share with you over time x

The weather here over the past few days has been a bit more bearable thank gawd. I even went out and bought a paper thin duvet coz I could not stand it!!
I am never happy, I love the sun and adore sunbathing but it has been way too hot and muggy, or its way too cold, I hate the cold weather!!!

Anyway onto my card.

Card I had in my stash along with lace, flowers, stamens, gems and dies.
I have purchased stuff over time from online, craft shows, pound shop, etc.

I look forward to reading your comments & am overwhelmed with how many new followers I have, thank-you to you all xx
I will pop on over and visit you too x

Masculine Birthday Card

Blimey, how hot and humid is this weather!!!
I love the sun, but I am even struggling. Wish I had a swimming pool, lol.

Today I am sharing a masculine birthday card.
I don't know about you, but I find them so hard to do. I love adding flowers and lace etc, and I find the cards for men you are more restricted.

I have found a masculine card more easy with the help of John Next Door dies and his tips/inspiration.

                                                                    Front of card .
Also used JND frame tutorial & his dies.

                                                           Stamp used from my stash

Good afternoon everyone.
I do hope you are all keeping well regarding this awful virus.

The news is devastating world wide.

I have already heard some sad news from two good family friends. One has passed and one given 24hrs.

Both my sons work in a hospital and have been going in daily, even working extra hours when they have been asked.
It is such a worrying time.

Keep safe everyone x

Only Fools & Horses

I would like to wish everyone a Happy 2020. Hope it brings you everything you wish for.

This year I would like to dabble in some new techniques. Love the look of using a brayer with ink pads (that I need to purchase), & I should get back into some colouring with my promarkers.
What would you like to do different this year or get back into?

Thought I would share what I made for my brother for his birthday. He celebrates it on 17th December and is an 'Only Fools & Horses' fan. The TV shows are on over the Christmas period so thought it would be apt to post.
He has everything he needs, so I put my creative waves into action, and this is what I came up with.

Birthday Cake, just a normal sponge and I coloured the icing myself.
Christmas chocolate coins.
Cigar from party shop.
I bought square chocolates and made the wrappers myself.
Ribbon from my stash.
Others bits pound shop and hand made.

Box card
