Wedding Invitation

Hello & welcome to my blog x

Today I am going to show you a  commisioned wedding invitation that I was asked to make. Well actually 100 of them!!
The Wedding was in August 2014 & I promised the bride & groom that I would not reveal it until after the event. They gave me permission to share it on my blog and google.

The design was from the groom. He actually did a drawing of what he wanted. I just used my dies and creativity to bring it to life. The bride picked the colour combination.
I did advise them on certain things and gladly they took it.

They loved them.

I attached the ribbon around the card so as when it was opened it did not fall off and could be re-tied.
It openes as a gatefold card, heart attached to one side.

  1. Hammered card ordered off of Ebay, along with the envelopes too.
  2. Pink card ordered off of Ebay.
  3. Ribbon ordered off of Ebay on a large reel.
  4. Letters cut from Xcut letter dies.
  5. Black card from craft shop.
  6. Heart die & Mr & Mrs die by Tonic.
  7. Flourishes & corners die by Marianne design creaTables. (all covered with fine glitter).
  8. Pearls by Meiflower.
  9. Fine glitter purchased from Ally Pally.
Hope you liked it & I look forward to reading your comments. I will pop on over & visit you too x

Little Mermaid Cake

Hello there & thanks for stopping by my blog today.

On Saturday I went to Alexander Palace with my Mum. Love going there, although I must say that there did not seem to be as many stalls or people! regardless we enjoyed the day & still spent our money, Lol.
I would love to try out the NEC in Birmingham, any info on this would be great.

Today I am going to share a Little Mermaid Cake that I made for my Daughters Niece for her 3rd birthday.
I am going to show you pics all around the cake.
The bottom tier was Madiera and the top tier chocolate.

My Daughter purchased all the figures which are on the cake.

Hope you enjoy looking & will enjoy reading your comments. I will then pop on over & visit you too.
Top of cake
I had to make some more shells to go around the Mermaid so as she did not keep falling over.

I coloured all my own fondant except the Top Tier which I purchased from Hobby Craft.

The shapes are from a Wilton silicon mould.
I had several attempts to remove them before I got the knack.

Pearls are edible too.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Enjoy the rest of your day where ever you are in the world.
